HIV and Palestine, two crises, connected. Join members of What Would an HIV Doula Do? for an immersive and participatory workshop that builds upon historically queer and feminist models, here focused on the central themes of HIV and Palestine. Through the lens of public health, activism, cultural production and more, we will explore the influence, impact and relationship between the ongoing HIV response and the ongoing fight for Palestinian solidarity futures. Workshop participants will leave with personal action plans – and produce a collective one together – that will deepen both personal and community stake in their relationship to HIV and Palestine.
“We Gather / HIV & Palestine” will take place at William Grant Still Arts Center on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
This program may not be suitable for all ages.
This workshop is organized by What Would an HIV Doula Do? (WWHIVDD) as part of Circa: Queer Histories Festival 2024, presented by One Institute.
