Trans performer Laser Webber, known for his award-winning comedy music and band The Doubleclicks, presents A Shark Ate My Penis: A History of Boys Like Me, a one-person musical comedy about the history of trans men. 

Throughout the musical, Laser meets Alan Hart, the first trans man to get gender surgery; Pub owners James and Mary Howe; and renowned author JK Rowling, all of whom help him find his own path.

A Shark Ate My Penis: A History of Boys Like Me will take place at the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Davidson/Valentini Theatre on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 7-8:30 p.m.

Laser Webber is a trans musician, performer, professional nerd, and author. His music “challenges the patriarchy, champions marginalized voices, and finds emotional resonance in everything from robots to breakfast foods.” He has toured the US, Australia, and Europe as front person of the Doubleclicks, and has racked up over 4 million Youtube views amongst their large and beautiful grassroots audience. His solo albums “Overreacting” and “A Shark Ate My Penis” tell vulnerable stories of transitioning and heartbreak.


This performance is organized by Laser Webber and is co-presented with the Los Angeles LGBT Center as part of Circa: Queer Histories Festival 2024, presented by One Institute.
